Farm Fun

We went to my parents this past weekend.  Unfortunately it was for a funeral, but it was nice to be able to see family.
Kenna is ready to get back to school!  We went school shopping.  She had a blast.  She only picked out dresses to wear.  And then she picked out purple Nike's for her shoes ;)  She's such a funny girl.  B is nuts!  She definitely walks to the beat of her own drum!  She's so fun, though ;)  Wade is growing so fast!  He LOVES watching his sisters!  Before we know it he's gonna be running around chasing after his sissy's :)
When we were home the girls got to see uncle Jason, uncle Pete, aunt Roxy, and some of their cousins.  Boy do they love their aunts, uncles, and cousins!  It's always nice to get them all together.
Other than that not a lot going on here.  Robbie has his first game this coming week and I start at St. Charles this week!

Lake Neshonoc

I'm posting again!!! In the same month!!!! :)

This last weekend we went camping at Lake Neshonoc with Steve and Deb.  The campsite was big and our view was beautiful!!!!  We had never camped there before, but had heard good things.  I have to say, this is a campground I plan to go to again!  Nice pool, lots of playground equipment, and pave roads throughout so Kenna could ride her bike all over.  The kids, as usual, enjoyed themselves.  Kenna was able to spend LOTS of time on the playground and swim in the big and little pools :)  She loves jumping in the big pool!  She is becoming such a big girl!

Kenna - She's ready for school.  Mom's ready for school to start for her too.  She will be tired at night and hopefully her listening will improve ;)  I swear she learns something new everyday.  Sometimes I'm so surprised by the things she knows!  She also is our little repeater.  The latest repeat offense was when we were camping.  Someone told Kenna to throw the cardboard box on the fire.  Once it started on fire, the flames became really high.  Steve said 'holy shit' and before we knew it ... Kenna is all huge eyed staring at the fire quietly repeating 'holy shit, holy shit, holy shit'.  She looked so darn cute we couldn't even get mad at her ;)

B - She's slowly becoming more girly.  She cracks me up.  She is Kenna's little mini me.  Follows her around and copies everything Kenna does.  She is using her words more, but does NOT like to use her manners.  Will have an all out temper tantrum before she will ever say PLEASE :)  Our stubborn little turkey.

Wade - He thinks he's a big boy.  Pulls himself up on everything!  Tries to stand on his own.  He has for about 5 seconds!!!!  Before we know it he will be running around with his sisters!  He LOVES to follow B around and get her all worked up by trying to take her blankie :)  It's crazy to think in a couple months he will be 1!!!!  Where has the time gone?!?!?!

Rob and Katie - We are good.  Rob has started coaching for St. Charles and I am on my last week of 3 that I got for vacation this summer :)  Crazy to believe that football and school is already here!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

August Already!!!

It's hard to believe it's August already!!!!  And....of course....I'm not getting better at this blogging business ;)  Maybe now that I'm completely done with Rochester things will slow down....Wishful thinking, I know :)

I'm sure most of you have heard, but, Wade had a febrile seizure last weekend.  We were at a friends wedding when he began to seize.  Thankfully there were nurses at the wedding and they took good care of him.  Since the seizure was due to his fever he didn't need a CT scan and they are not overly concerned.  They say it happens in 1/3 kids.  Still scary and of course worst case scenario plays in my mind the entire time we are waiting results.  He is doing great now.  Back to his happy go lucky self.  He is definitely trying to give his mom a heart attack before she turns 30!!!!!!!

B is still her fun, crazy, silly self.  She has such a personality!  She has started to be a bit more emotional and will cry anytime she is told no or we raise our voice with her.  I think it's because she thinks she will get out of being in trouble :o)  Her and Wade are definitely partners in crime.  She will get him to do things and drag him around the house and all he does is laugh.  Which doesn't help our cause as we are yelling at her to stop being mean to her brother.  ;)

Kenna is ready for school to start.  She asks me every week if she gets to go to school.  I think me working all summer has really confused her as to why she isn't going ;)  She's so smart.  She surprises me everyday with something new she knows.  She's definitely a girly girl.  She walks around the house in heels, dresses, and talking on the phone to some boy named Gavin she rides the bus with.  We aren't so sure about this Gavin boy ;)

Robbie is doing well.  He took a little break on the diet and has now kicked it in gear again.  It's so easy to come up with excuses to not go to the gym or eat healthy.  He was mad at himself, but good thing is that he's a man.  I think he lost 10 pounds in this first week back at it!  Wish it worked that way for me!  He is taking Makenna to the Vikings training camp on Monday with Travis and Ty.  She is really excited.

I finished up with Rochester on Thursday.  I am officially done.  Definitely bitter sweet.  I appreciate all the experiences and opportunities JM gave me.  They shaped me into the teacher I am, but I know this change is best for our family.  In the midst of working all summer I have also taken up running.  I have decided to run the Mankato Half Marathon on October 20.  I'm freaked out about it, but I was just feeling that I needed to do something to make me feel good and it gives me time each day to focus on me.

Hope everyone is doing well and you enjoy your last month of summer!!!

Silly boy!!! :)

Robbie and the girls just relaxin'

Drinking like a big girl!!!

So happy to be outside with his sisters!

She rides ahead of us now, so she has to wear her helmet every time she's on her bike now :)

Camping Fun!

We were able to get away for a couple days and take the kids camping!  We went to Lanesboro.  We love it there!  They have great bike trails and a swimming pool for the kids.  We went during the week so it was pretty quiet.  It gave the kids some extra time just to themselves in the pool!  I was a little nervous about B going to bed in a bunk, but she did great!  She was so tired she didn't even fight going to bed! :)  Wade did good, too.  And of course Kenna LOVED it!
On the 4th both Robbie and my parents came over.  We used to golf every year, but with 3 little ones now we just eat great food and visit :)  Before we know it the kiddos will be big enough to go golfing!  Then, later that night Kenna was invited to our neighbors for a bonfire.  The neighbor girl came and got her and walked her to the fire.  Our little girl is growing up so fast!!!!
Yesterday we hung out with Melissa and Trav.  As always, it's great to see them and watch the kids play with each other!
Kenna is the boss.  ALL the time!  Or at least she THINKS she is ;)  She is fun to watch, though.  I feel like she is turning into a big girl a little bit every day!  It's crazy to think that next year she will be starting kindergarten!
B is so funny!  She loves playing with Wade.  Those two have such a fun relationship.  She is talking a little more everyday, but she is our stubborn little girl.  So....we know she is going to use her words when SHE is good and ready :)
Wade is growing so fast!  He crawls everywhere and on everything!  He pulls himself up on anything that will hold his weight :)  and he babbles to us all the time.
Robbie leaves today for Chicago.  That means a week without daddy!  Hope everyone is doing well!

Wade chillin' out at the campsite :)

LOVING her S'more!

She loved to start the marshmallows on fire :)

Sibling Fun!

It's been pretty rainy here.  Fortunately for the kiddos is seems to mainly come over night.  I can't believe June is almost gone!  It's crazy how fast that went!
I have been doing summer school.  So...that means so far this summer I have had one week of vacation ;) It will be completely worth it during the school year and I am only 10 minutes away from the kiddos!  I also have decided to train for a 10K.  It would be nice if I was able to run one by August - I saw Goodview is having one in August.  We'll see, though.  I really do hate running ;)
Robbie has been working, going to the gym, and hanging out with all of us :)  He leaves on the 7th for a week long training in Chicago!  We are really going to miss him!  He's really been working hard to make sure he is in shape and ready to go for this training.  He's really excited, though, too.  It's a SWAT school put on by FBI!
Makenna is busy being a good big sister.  She loves to sass mom and dad and thinks she should always get her way :)  She picks buddy (Wade) up and carries him all over the house.  She LOVES to be outside and is itching to go camping!
B is busy being B.  :)  She loves to copy her sissy and yell at mom and dad.  She is such a dare devil!  And even though she hurt her foot jumping on the couch - she has NOT learned her lesson.  Worries me for when she gets older ;)
Wade is such a happy boy, unless he's hungry!  Which seems to be all the time ;)  He is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up to a standing position.  Before we know it he's going to get up and start walking!
Here are some pictures of the kiddos!  They do love each other every now and then ;)

CHEEEEEESE :)

SO HAPPY!!!!

LOVE ALL AROUND!

Changes...

Can you believe that I was able to make two blog posts within two weeks?!?! ;)  It's been a busy last couple of weeks.
After working at John Marshall in Rochester for the past 6 years I have decided to take a job in St. Charles.  This is definitely bittersweet.  I can't wait for the short commute and extra time I will have with the kids.  I will, however, miss everyone at JM.  We know this is what is best for our family, but still hard to say goodbye.
Robbie is at a training for the entire week!  He left today.  He hasn't even been gone a day and I know that we will all miss him!
Makenna is done with school for the year!  She LOVED pre-school.  She has grown so much in this last year!  She can name colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.  The biggest change we have seen in her, though, is her patience!  She's becoming such a young lady.  :)
B is talking more everyday.  She only says what she needs to.  Very laid back and not looking to impress ;)  She has started to copy everything that Kenna does and will sit and play with Wade for several minutes now.  I'm thinking we are going to start trying to potty train once school is out.  She has started to take off her diaper every time she goes to the bathroom!
Wade has a cold :(  So he's started up with a little wheezing again.  Let's hope he can fight this!  On better news he has started crawling!  He now gets where ever he wants/needs to go.  He thinks it is great to get his sisters all worked up by taking their toys :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!

CRAWLING!!!! :)

Happy Springtime

Where has the time gone?!?!  It's hard to believe May is almost over!  Makenna's last week of preschool is this week!  We got her progress report and she improved in all areas from the fall!  We can tell such a difference in how much she knows and her conversation skills just at home!  We celebrated B's birthday on Mother's Day.  It was just a small get together.  Candy theme for our little candy lover ;)  Wade is eating everything we put in front of him and has started army crawling all over the house.  The girls are still learning to put their things up! :)  Robbie and I have started a hard push on our diets again.  We have been REALLY slacking since Wade came home!  I finally got back on the treadmill this weekend.  Thankfully I can still run 2 miles without stopping.  But...I shouldn't have let myself get to the point I am :p.  I'm writing this waiting for storms to approach us.  The first round missed us...but judging by how the sky looks right now I don't think we are going to get as lucky this time around!  Hope everyone has a great week!

Here are a few pictures of the kiddos :)

Kenna giving Wade some loving! :)

We can't go anywhere without our blankie!

Happy Birthday B!!!!

Doesn't seem very comfortable to me ;)

Have a wonderful week!!!

It's been FOREVER!!!

Wow!  It's been a long time since I've been on here.  Lots has gone on since the last post :)
We'll start with Wade.  He's doing MUCH better.  Off all of his oral meds and was cleared of his albuteral every 4 hours to an as needed basis.  He still needs his steroid in the morning and night, but whatever it takes to keep him healthy!  He had a tooth pop through this weekend and he is really trying to figure out the whole moving business :)  He will get his butt in the air and move his legs.  He hasn't figured out how to use his arms and legs together though.  He will sit up independently for a few seconds and then tip over.  He thinks it's funny :)  He LOVES his jumperoo and is quite active.  He's so calm and happy, though.  For all he has been through we've gotten pretty lucky for how happy he is.
Now on to B.  She sure keeps us busy.  Always making us laugh.  She is saying more everyday!  She loves her big sister and tries to be just like her.  Which in turn causes daily fights :)  She LOVES the kitty.  I'm not sure what she would do if she didn't wake up and get to see it every day.  She is starting to want to be by Wade and give him loving a lot more often now.  She really needs to be watched with everything she does, though.  The other day she threw the remote in the toilet!!!!  And she is the most stubborn person I have EVER met!  :)
Kenna...she turned 4.  Loved all the attention on her big day.  She is still loving pre-school and riding the bus.  She amazes me everyday with how much she knows.  It's crazy to believe my beautiful little peanut is already 4 years old!  Where has the time gone?!?!  In other news...Gayle cut her hair beautifully while she stayed at grandmas...tonight she cut her own hair!!!!  It's quite short now, but it's better it was her hair and not a finger...right!!?!
Rob and Katie...We got to go on a vacation!!!! YAY.  We spent a week in Florida with friends Melissa and Travis and Janelle and Tim.  We rented a vacation home and enjoyed the week of sleeping in and doing as we pleased.  It was such a nice break.  We were able to facetime the kids while we were gone, so that made it easier on us.  Now that we are back, though we are hitting our diets hard again.  Robbie wants to lose some more weight before he has to go to SWAT school and I want to lose more for Cassie's wedding in November!
Now that I've updated on all of us hopefully I can get better at this blogging deal :)  Hope you are all doing well!
Birthday girl in her "party bess"  :)  She HAD to find a "bess" for her party when we went shopping the day before her big day!

She wanted a Princess Sofia party.  Since it's so new there isn't anything out with Princess Sofia.  We did the best we could :)

Birthday Doughnuts!

Testing out the helmet and scooter.  She asked for the helmet without any prompts from us!  Safety first for this one :)

And the men...

Our usual vacation self portrait :)

This is Kenna's hair before we fixed it.  You can't really tell, but she had completely cut up the sides so that they were super short.

This is how short I had to make it for it to look OK... little turkey!  :)

oh the difference a day makes...

As I'm sure most of you have heard...Wade was admitted to the hospital this past week.  He threw up at daycare on Wednesday afternoon and Vicky called me.  I had her take his temp and he was running a 101 temp.  The last time we were at the doctor they told us if he ever ran a temp that we needed to bring him in ASAP.  St. Charles was full for the day and since Kenna was running a 102 temp I figured I would go into urgent care and get both of them taken care of and then head back home to make Robbie a birthday dinner and cake.  Well....things didn't go as smoothly as planned.  First I need to shout out a huge thank you to Janelle and Tim who watched B all night and Kenna for a couple hours. They said yes to watching B with all of thinking it would be an hour or 2.  When the triage nurse looked at Wade he felt is was an ER visit, so we were rushed into the ER.  They hooked him up to oxygen immediately and started neb treatments on him.  He also had blood drawn, an RSV test done, and an X-Ray.  All of his tests came back normal, but they were not happy with how he was responding to the neb treatments so they had to call the pediatrician in.  Once she got to the hospital she determined that he needed to be admitted.
During all of this Kenna was still being seen under 'urgent care' in the ER.  Her respiration's seemed to be a bit in distress so they wanted to do an X-Ray on her also.  Her X-Ray, however, came back with white fluffy stuff on her lung.  He said that it was bronchopneumonia.  She is on a medicine and seems to be feeling better.
Wade has been a trooper through all of this.  The anesthesiologist was called in because he was dehydrated and no one could hit a vein for his IV.  He has being woke up every 2 hour for neb treatments.  Needs constant oxygen on him, and is in an O2 tent.  He is staying tonight and they are reassessing tomorrow.  He IS getting better, but the doctor said it's going slowly.  His wheeze is still pretty evident and I think they want that a little more under control before they would send him home.  When I know more I will write more.  Right now he is just snoozing under his tent.  Thanks to all of you for your prayers and kind words during this time!

snoozing under his tent with Kenna blankie!  She left it for him to sleep with :)

So tired!
