Busy, Busy, Busy

So, we had a good week.  Robbie spent Monday and Tuesday with the girls, which I think they all enjoy!  Kenna of course loves to push her limits and probably put on four different outfits throughout the day.  Here is what she had on when I made it home from work :)

Another new situation we experienced was Kenna making herself  'beautiful'.  This consisted of squeezing her entire tube of lip gloss out and putting it in her hair!  She was sure 'beautiful' :)  After lots of baths, several shampoos, and a couple doses of corn starch we have hair that no longer looks like we haven't cleaned it for months!  Here's the lip gloss picture and a picture of her with corn starch in :)

Of course we celebrated Kenna's birthday on Friday.  We had macaroni and cheese with hot dogs and she got a piece of cake.  Even though our big girl turned three, she still snuggled with her momma :)  Which is my favorite time of the night!

B is growing like crazy!  She doesn't get in near the mischief that Kenna does, but she is sure fun to hang out with! :)  She is standing now and we can tell she wants to take steps, but is still a little too nervous for that.  She did take one step the other night when she was standing by Robbie!  Here's our beautiful big girl!  My favorite time with her is when she attacks my face giving me kisses! :)

It's been a pretty busy week!  Our next big news is that we found out a few weeks ago that we are....EXPECTING!  Robbie and I both went in last week and heard the little peanuts heartbeat!  It was 171 and sounded perfect.  Then this week I went in for an ultrasound to make sure our dating was correct, which it was.  So, our due date is September 30!  Here's our precious little one at 12 weeks 4 days!

BIRTHDAY PARTY :)

We celebrated Kenna's 3rd Birthday on Saturday.  Can you believe she is going to be 3?!?!  Where did the time go!  She was super excited and of course LOVED all the attention :)  This was the first year that she was able to tell me what kind of party she wanted, so that was fun.  (until I realized that Wilton didn't have a cake mold for Yo Gabba Gabba)  It all worked out, though, and the cake was a hit with the kids :)

Kenna enjoyed all her gifts!  She woke up at 4 AM today and was asking for her LEGO's.  She did go back to bed once she got to crawl in bed with mom and dad :)  I guess it was better than playing LEGO's... It's so fun to watch her grow and become a little girl.  She also did great telling everyone Thank You for her gifts, which made mom and dad proud.  We would like to thank everyone who made it to the party and those of you that thought of her.  We all truly appreciate it!  Here is a pic of Kenna with one of her gifts.  It's pretty much the look I got for every picture :)

The weather was beautiful out for her birthday, which was wonderful!  The kids were able to play outside and keep themselves busy.  It was also nice because we were able to set up chairs and tables outside so it wasn't so crowded in the house.  We had to take advantage of it because we know we won't always be this lucky!  Kenna had a great time with all the cousins and she seemed to use all her energy to push Lilly in the swing :)

B has been doing great.  She is in the phase of really enjoying when she gets Kenna worked up.  She will take Kenna's toys, but put them down if Kenna doesn't get mad about it :)  I guess she already knows her role :)  She's starting to stand for 5 seconds on her own.  She seems like she really wants to get going, but she's just not completely sure how to just quite yet.  All in all everyone is doing well.  Been a busy weekend and ready to just lay back and relax!  Thank goodness spring break is in 2 weeks!!!!!

Beautiful Weekend!

We started the week out with Robbie watching the girls on Monday and Tuesday.   I think he enjoyed getting to spend some daddy time with them.  I think they wore him out, though :)  Here is the picture I got from Robbie on Tuesday.... I think it's the first time she's done this :)

Robbie had to work this weekend, which was a bummer since it was so beautiful!  Saturday the girls and I hung out at home and bummed around.  They were good to me....let me work on grad school homework for 3 hours!!!  Sunday we ventured out to Winona.  We tried out shopping with B in the cart instead of the car seat for the first time.  They did WONDERFUL!!!

Then, since it was so BEAUTIFUL out we went on the first wagon ride of the season!  The girls seemed to enjoy it.  Kenna loves anytime she can be outside, though.  :)

Next we tried the swing.  I'd say B hated it and Kenna loved it.....

I love this weather, though, because it wears the girls out and we get AWESOME naps!!!! Plus they seem to sleep better at night too! :)  Sounds like it's going to be a beautiful week so I'm hoping Rob and I can work with Kenna on how to pedal her tricycle!  Hope everyones week has been wonderful!!!

Laid Back Week

So it was a nice laid back week.  Didn't have much of anything we needed to get done so that was nice :)  Robbie and Kenna spent over an hour playing outside one night this week.  Kenna slept amazing!!!  B has started to crawl like a monkey :)  She gets up on her feet and hands and races across the floor.  I told Rob that she's probably never going to walk cuz she's getting whatever she needs by crawling like a mad woman!  :)

Kenna loves to eat by B...and of course she needs to be in a high chair just like B.  :)  But of course just when we think we have Kenna figured out she changes her wants on us...so I'm sure in a week she will hate sitting in the high chair and will need to be as far away from B as she can :)

On Saturday Kenna, B, and I took Robbie out to eat for his birthday.  He was trying to decide between pizza and Culvers.  He asked me and I told him - 'whatever you want'.  Then he was asking Kenna....she ignored him for a while and when he wouldn't back down she looked at him with her big sassy eyes, used her arms and hands dramatically and said - 'WHATEVER YOU WANT' :)  Oh she makes us laugh everyday.

Sunday Robbie's parents took us out to eat at Godfathers Pizza buffet.  It was nice to visit and enjoy good food.  Robbie even saw an old friend he hadn't seen in awhile so he got a chance to catch up with him.  Seems like every time we go to Winona Robbie runs into someone :)
