Rapunzel

We celebrated Makenna's birthday today with family!  She chose a Rapunzel theme.  She was so excited for today she could hardly control herself :)  This was our first family event since we finished our basement.  It was SO nice to have the extra space!  Of course it was great to see everyone, lots of great food was ate, and Kenna LOVED her gifts.

The next week is pretty quiet on our end.  It will be nice to just have a laid back week because the rest of April is pretty busy.  We have Lilly's party, Easter, and I'm going to the Little Mermaid with my mom, Roxy, and all of her girls!  It should be a good time.

KIDS
Makenna - Makenna is doing well.  She's still dancing and seems to enjoy it.  She will miss her spring program because we will be at the Little Mermaid.  It's a bummer but she will be with her cousins so I don't think she will even realize....plus I'm not telling her so that should help with her not realizing also ;)  We just filled out the form for t-ball and will be turning that in.  And then we will need to get her signed up for swimming lessons!!!!  Man where has the time went!

Brynn - Oh...Brynn is Brynn :)  We just got her pre-school registration!!! Can you believe she will be in pre-school?!?!?!  Hopefully she will learn patience ;)  She is so much fun, though.  Always making us all laugh.  She is currently in the stage of wanting to do EVERYTHING her big sister does.

Wade - Wade keeps us busy.  Always throwing something around the house ;)  One of his new favorite things to do is to transfer all of his food from his plate to the table, then from the table to the plate, and then from the plate to the floor :)  The good news is that we don't need to worry about his fine motor skills.  They are working just fine ;)

Here are a few pictures ...

The family watching Wreck It Ralph ... which we will NOT watch again.  B was up in the middle of the night freaking out that there were bugs on the floor and she refused to walk on the floor!  Silly girl :)

Finally getting nice enough for bike rides!

Happy Birthday Kenna!!

5 already!!!

Happy Birthday to Makenna!!!!  Hard to believe she is 5 already!  Today we celebrated as the family.  B got her a Rapunzel doll, Wade got her Rapunzel silverware, and mom and dad got her a Rapunzel dress.  I'd say she is all ready for her Rapunzel party next weekend!  :)  Robbie had to work today, so she had to wait until supper for her cake.  She did well....except for the last 45 minutes ;)

On Friday, Robbie took Kenna to a carnival at the elementary school.  She seemed to enjoy herself.  Robbie told me that next time I could have the pleasure of taking her ;)

Not too much happening this week...  My para told me she exercises every morning at 5.  I decided I would try it - by having her text me the first day :).  I've only been doing it for 5 days, but I LOVE being done with my workout before I go to work.  It has also helped me be able to fall asleep better at night.  So...if you are having trouble fitting your workout in I suggest trying it out ;)  We've started eating healthier too.  All the little things that are so easy to just get out of the habit doing ;p

Here are some pics of the week!

Always so happy :)

We are alive ;)

Wow!!! We haven't been on here since August!!!!  Crazy how fast time has gone.  I am going to TRY and keep up on keeping this updated again :)

Quick update on the family ...

Robbie - He's still in St. Charles.  Working days now so he's able to spend every night with the kiddos.  He is also on the Emergency Response Team for the county.  He has been doing quite a bit of training.  Which is good for him.  Nice to get up to date information and a change in the regular routine.  He decided to resign from coaching football so that he could spend more time with the family.  All in all he's doing great.

Katie - I'm in St. Charles and LOVE that I made the change.  It's so nice to be so close to the kids!  I am able to get the kids and be home by 4:00 if I want to!!!!  I ran the Mankato half marathon in October.  It was great to accomplish that!  However...I have not been keeping up with the running over this never ending winter!  I'm hoping to start up again once it gets nice and I can run outside.  Other than work the kids are keeping me plenty busy.  I also decided to sell Scentsy.  More than anything... I wanted a discount on my items :)

Makenna - She's in Just For Kix.  She loves wearing the pretty leotards and acting like a girl ;)  She had kindergarten registration last Friday!  I can't believe it's already that time!  She refused to write, say letters, and say numbers.  When we asked her why she said she was 'shy'.  I'm gonna go with stubborn ;)  She's still doing pre-school in Lewiston, but will be switching over to St. Charles next year.  This summer we plan to sign her up for swimming lessons and t-ball.  She's all ready to go camping!

Brynn - She's our silly, bull-headed, little beauty.  She definitely has a mind of her own!  I LOVE that, but boy can it wear on you when you are trying to get things done in a timely manner ;)  She will be starting pre-school next year!  It will be so good for her!  She has been scratching at daycare, so we've been working on being nice to our friends and cutting her nails on a daily basis ;)  Her 'blankie' is still her best friend.  We can not go anywhere or do anything without it :)

Wade - He's so laid back.  He really just goes with the flow.  He has been doing well since last March.  He still tends to get a wheeze when he gets a cold, but we just give him neb treatments and have the humidifier running 24/7 in his room.  His favorite hang out is the basement.  I think it's because he loves going down stairs.  He will start going down after the girls and beat them down.  They need to watch out for him, though, cuz he just puts his arms out and slides the whole way down :)

New news for the family ...

**We FINALLY finished our basement!!!!! Thanks to our parents!  We could not have done it without them!  We LOVE having it done, though.  The kids don't make near the mess we used to have and we are all out of each others hair :)

**We decided to trade-in our camper for a new one.  It was a spur of the moment decision.  We decided to go and look at our exact camper - but the new version - and we decided to buy a completely different one ;)  It is a much nicer lay out for our family, though.  Especially with still needing to bring the pack-n-play.  I can't wait to go on our first trip!!!!

**Rob and I both turned 30...Robbie was OK with this.  I ,on the other hand, had a harder time accepting it.  It hasn't been as bad as I thought... :)
