Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a fun, but busy Thanksgiving weekend.  We started out the week with me having to work Monday and Tuesday.  Kenna got sick on Monday night and missed school on Tuesday :(  Thankfully she was the only one who ended up getting sick.  On Wednesday Kenna and I went shopping and made a bunch of food up for Thanksgiving.

On Thanksgiving Robbie's parents and my parents came over for lunch.  Then Robbie, the girls, and I headed to Ames, Iowa with my parents.  We spent the night there before making the rest of the trip to Omaha.  On Thursday night my mom, the girls and I packed into the car to go get some $3 pillows at Target.  When we got there the line was around the building!  So...needless to say...we did NOT get the $3 pillows :)  On Friday we got to Omaha.  Kenna and B were so busy with their cousins all weekend!  It's so nice when all the cousins can get together!  Wade is doing good.  Going through a growth spurt so he is eating more and is a little more gassy...which in turn makes him a little fussy.  But he's healthy and happy so no complaints here!

So apparantly I have used up all my free storage.  Until I have time to look at all this I am just going to e-mail you all some pics from the week and weekend :)

Balancing Act

So I made it through my first week back at work!  It actually wasn't too bad.  It was nice to get some adult interaction, but boy was I tired every night!  :)
On Monday Rob, Wade, and I went shopping in La Crosse.  We got Kenna a new winter coat and snowpants, got groceries, and some wine!  :)  Then on Tuesday I went back to work.  It has been an adjustment for us all.  The girls were used to getting to sleep until they woke up so getting woke up at 6:00 AM wasn't very exciting for them.  :)  Robbie and Wade hung out at home all week.  I think Wade enjoyed his daddy time.  He knows exactly how to get what he wants already ;).
On Friday we met my parents in Owatonna and they took Kenna home with them.  On Saturday they went to Little Red Riding Hood with Kenna and all of Pete and Roxy's girls.  Kenna had a blast, of course.  She didn't want to come back home :).  My parents said she was good and got a little scared of the wolf, but not bad.  Wade, B, and I hung out and just played on Saturday.  It was nice to get some one on one time with B.  She hasn't been feeling the best so she snuggled a good portion of the day.  And of course it was nice to get snuggle time in with the little man!  It was opening weekend for Robbie so he spent all day Saturday and half a day Sunday out hunting.  Steve got 2 deer so Robbie said he's not going back out this season.  They definitely don't need anymore meat!  Venison isn't my favorite anyway so I don't ever really care if they shoot a deer or not :)
Saturday night we met my parents in Rochester.  They took Kenna to Culvers (her favorite restaurant!) and Rob, B, Wade, and I went to Sam's Club to get some necessities.  Sunday was spent just chilling out and watching Christmas movies on Lifetime and Hallmark :)
Here are some pictures from the week...

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Thanksgiving!  We will be going to Nebraska again so we won't update the blog until Monday.

Last Full Week Home :(

This last week was my last full week home with the little guy.  :(  This past week we just laid low and hung out as a family.  Kenna said her ear hurt on Tuesday so we took her to the doctor.  Couldn't get her in until Friday.  Ended up being no infection, though so that was good.  Since we were in we got Kenna her flu shot.  Pretty sure the entire clinic knew we were there...that is if they didn't before the shot :)  Robbie got his shot, too, so now our whole family is prepared for flu season!  :)  Rob and I don't usually don't get one, but since Wade can't have one we thought we better.
Saturday night our friends Melissa and Travis came over.  It was nice to see them.  Felt like it had been forever!  The boys went down to the bar for a little while because the football appreciation dinner was going on and Melissa and I hung out at home with the kids.  It's nice to give them a chance to play together since they are the same ages.
Then on Sunday we just hung out at home.  I told Rob I wasn't going to exercise today and have a day of rest.  A day of rest is what I got.  :)  Robbie let me take a nice long nap during B's nap and he took care of the little man and watched football.  I started the couch to 5k program so my hope is that I will be able to run a 5k by the beginning of the year!  Then when it gets nice out I will have to practice running outside so that I can try and run a 5k race sometime :)
On another note, just want to take the time to thank all of our veterans for all they have done and the freedoms they have given us and continue to ensure that we keep!

Here are some pics from the week...

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Halloween and Birthday Fun

Can you believe it is already November?!?!?!  That means that it is almost time for me to go back to work and that I NEED to start my Christmas shopping!  Especially if I think I am going to do any of the DIY projects I found on Pinterest :)
First, we celebrated Halloween this week :)  Thankful that it's over, but now we have a house full of candy.  We just got done cleaning the house and put any candy we had left in a bag and are going to bring it to daycare.  Vicky can use it to get the kids to do things for her :)  We just need to get it out of our house so we don't eat it :)  I had brought all the non-chocolate candy into school for hometown gratitude boxes they send to the soldiers so we didn't have too much left.  Kenna was a princess, B was a garden gnome and Wade was a cow (thanks Lisa and Duey for the costume!)  For trick or treating we went to people we knew in Lewiston and St. Charles and then when we got home I took the girls to all the neighbors house.  Robbie and Wade stayed at home and handed out candy to the kids that came to our door.
I also went into work this week.  It was nice to see all my co-workers and kids.  Didn't make me any more ready to head back to work on the 13th though...  I know that I will be ok, I'm just starting to feel sorry for myself :)  I think it's because I know he's our last one!  He'll be in good hands, though.  Robbie is now off for the entire month, so he will be hanging out with the little man.  After that he will be going to Vicky's.  I know that he'll do great there and Vicky's ready for him...so she can make sure he's a Vikings fan :)
On Saturday we went to Wisconsin to celebrate Robbie's grandma's birthday.  It was nice to see all of his family.  We aren't always able to make it to the get togethers so when we can it's nice.  We weren't able to see his family until B was bigger after she was born so it was nice to bring Wade to see all his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Then on Sunday we just hung out at home and watched football.  I tried out a recipe I found out on Pinterest :) and Rob and I had a couple beers while watching the games.  He cheered on the Packers and everyone he has on his fantasy teams :)  While I cheered on the Cardinals ;) and the Vikings!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  My hopes for my last full week home are to get the house cleaned, start some of my Pinterest projects, and give my little man LOTS of loving!  :)
Here are some pictures from the week...
Here is what happens when you don't notice that B has a marker in her hand :)

Our little cow...he wasn't too impressed with us

Our garden gnome :)

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa with Wade

4 generations (Floerke boys)

Kenna thinks she's pretty cool with those headphones on...and mom and dad think it's pretty cool that they can finally listen to what they WANT to listen to ;)

Take my eye off her for one minute and she's trying to steal the diapers!
