Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a fun, but busy Thanksgiving weekend.  We started out the week with me having to work Monday and Tuesday.  Kenna got sick on Monday night and missed school on Tuesday :(  Thankfully she was the only one who ended up getting sick.  On Wednesday Kenna and I went shopping and made a bunch of food up for Thanksgiving.

On Thanksgiving Robbie's parents and my parents came over for lunch.  Then Robbie, the girls, and I headed to Ames, Iowa with my parents.  We spent the night there before making the rest of the trip to Omaha.  On Thursday night my mom, the girls and I packed into the car to go get some $3 pillows at Target.  When we got there the line was around the building!  So...needless to say...we did NOT get the $3 pillows :)  On Friday we got to Omaha.  Kenna and B were so busy with their cousins all weekend!  It's so nice when all the cousins can get together!  Wade is doing good.  Going through a growth spurt so he is eating more and is a little more gassy...which in turn makes him a little fussy.  But he's healthy and happy so no complaints here!

So apparantly I have used up all my free storage.  Until I have time to look at all this I am just going to e-mail you all some pics from the week and weekend :)

Balancing Act

So I made it through my first week back at work!  It actually wasn't too bad.  It was nice to get some adult interaction, but boy was I tired every night!  :)
On Monday Rob, Wade, and I went shopping in La Crosse.  We got Kenna a new winter coat and snowpants, got groceries, and some wine!  :)  Then on Tuesday I went back to work.  It has been an adjustment for us all.  The girls were used to getting to sleep until they woke up so getting woke up at 6:00 AM wasn't very exciting for them.  :)  Robbie and Wade hung out at home all week.  I think Wade enjoyed his daddy time.  He knows exactly how to get what he wants already ;).
On Friday we met my parents in Owatonna and they took Kenna home with them.  On Saturday they went to Little Red Riding Hood with Kenna and all of Pete and Roxy's girls.  Kenna had a blast, of course.  She didn't want to come back home :).  My parents said she was good and got a little scared of the wolf, but not bad.  Wade, B, and I hung out and just played on Saturday.  It was nice to get some one on one time with B.  She hasn't been feeling the best so she snuggled a good portion of the day.  And of course it was nice to get snuggle time in with the little man!  It was opening weekend for Robbie so he spent all day Saturday and half a day Sunday out hunting.  Steve got 2 deer so Robbie said he's not going back out this season.  They definitely don't need anymore meat!  Venison isn't my favorite anyway so I don't ever really care if they shoot a deer or not :)
Saturday night we met my parents in Rochester.  They took Kenna to Culvers (her favorite restaurant!) and Rob, B, Wade, and I went to Sam's Club to get some necessities.  Sunday was spent just chilling out and watching Christmas movies on Lifetime and Hallmark :)
Here are some pictures from the week...

Last Full Week Home :(

This last week was my last full week home with the little guy.  :(  This past week we just laid low and hung out as a family.  Kenna said her ear hurt on Tuesday so we took her to the doctor.  Couldn't get her in until Friday.  Ended up being no infection, though so that was good.  Since we were in we got Kenna her flu shot.  Pretty sure the entire clinic knew we were there...that is if they didn't before the shot :)  Robbie got his shot, too, so now our whole family is prepared for flu season!  :)  Rob and I don't usually don't get one, but since Wade can't have one we thought we better.
Saturday night our friends Melissa and Travis came over.  It was nice to see them.  Felt like it had been forever!  The boys went down to the bar for a little while because the football appreciation dinner was going on and Melissa and I hung out at home with the kids.  It's nice to give them a chance to play together since they are the same ages.
Then on Sunday we just hung out at home.  I told Rob I wasn't going to exercise today and have a day of rest.  A day of rest is what I got.  :)  Robbie let me take a nice long nap during B's nap and he took care of the little man and watched football.  I started the couch to 5k program so my hope is that I will be able to run a 5k by the beginning of the year!  Then when it gets nice out I will have to practice running outside so that I can try and run a 5k race sometime :)
On another note, just want to take the time to thank all of our veterans for all they have done and the freedoms they have given us and continue to ensure that we keep!

Here are some pics from the week...

Halloween and Birthday Fun

Can you believe it is already November?!?!?!  That means that it is almost time for me to go back to work and that I NEED to start my Christmas shopping!  Especially if I think I am going to do any of the DIY projects I found on Pinterest :)
First, we celebrated Halloween this week :)  Thankful that it's over, but now we have a house full of candy.  We just got done cleaning the house and put any candy we had left in a bag and are going to bring it to daycare.  Vicky can use it to get the kids to do things for her :)  We just need to get it out of our house so we don't eat it :)  I had brought all the non-chocolate candy into school for hometown gratitude boxes they send to the soldiers so we didn't have too much left.  Kenna was a princess, B was a garden gnome and Wade was a cow (thanks Lisa and Duey for the costume!)  For trick or treating we went to people we knew in Lewiston and St. Charles and then when we got home I took the girls to all the neighbors house.  Robbie and Wade stayed at home and handed out candy to the kids that came to our door.
I also went into work this week.  It was nice to see all my co-workers and kids.  Didn't make me any more ready to head back to work on the 13th though...  I know that I will be ok, I'm just starting to feel sorry for myself :)  I think it's because I know he's our last one!  He'll be in good hands, though.  Robbie is now off for the entire month, so he will be hanging out with the little man.  After that he will be going to Vicky's.  I know that he'll do great there and Vicky's ready for him...so she can make sure he's a Vikings fan :)
On Saturday we went to Wisconsin to celebrate Robbie's grandma's birthday.  It was nice to see all of his family.  We aren't always able to make it to the get togethers so when we can it's nice.  We weren't able to see his family until B was bigger after she was born so it was nice to bring Wade to see all his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Then on Sunday we just hung out at home and watched football.  I tried out a recipe I found out on Pinterest :) and Rob and I had a couple beers while watching the games.  He cheered on the Packers and everyone he has on his fantasy teams :)  While I cheered on the Cardinals ;) and the Vikings!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  My hopes for my last full week home are to get the house cleaned, start some of my Pinterest projects, and give my little man LOTS of loving!  :)

Pumpkins!!!

Hello everyone!  We had a good week.  On Wednesday I went to my parents house and then went and visited my grandma.  Kenna got to see Lilly so she was super excited about going :)  Then on Friday our friends, Lisa (and Peyton) and Jen, came over.  Peyton is a week younger than B so they had a good time playing.  It's fun to watch them interact with one another.  Also, after watching them play it is very obvious that B already plays up being hurt by her sister.  Because there were things that Peyton did and B didn't even make a peep, but if Kenna would have done it B would have had a fit.  :)  On Saturday Robbie went to the Gopher game with a bunch of guy friends.  It was a good game!  I hung out with the kids.  They all did great!  Finally, today we took the girls to Target to use some gift cards they had and then went to the orchard and picked out pumpkins.  Kenna painted her pumpkin, but B took a late nap and did not get hers painted today.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Bowling Fun!

This week Kenna got to go bowling with her pre-school class.  Rob, Wade and I went and watched her bowl.  She did great!  By the time we got there the kids had already started bowling and Kenna did not need our help to bowl.  :)  She's always our little miss independent.  The entire time Kenna decided to yell ... "Ms. Greden!  Is it my turn now?!?!?"  Even when she had just gone.  Ms. Greden did let us know that this is her class that everyone needs to be first and everyone loves to help each other...even when the other doesn't want the help :)  Here are some bowling pics...

Waiting ... as patiently as she could :) ... for her ball

Rolling the ball ... she would just run up there ... I was so nervous she was going to fall or drop the ball

Watching her ball go ... she even started to do the lean :)

Eating her cookie and drinking her milk!

Brynn has been doing really good with Wade the past couple days.  She definitely tests us, but she has started to learn that she can not touch him.  I kept them home on Friday so she has had some extra time to be at home with him and learn her boundaries.  She is such a funny girl, though.  She is starting to try and say more words and she loves to try and make us laugh.  She has also learned to fight back against Kenna now.  The problem is that Kenna is a drama queen so we hear a lot of crying and yelling now :)
Wade has been doing great sleeping.  Robbie went back to work on Wednesday and I was a little nervous I was going to be up a lot.  He's been sleeping like a champ, though.  Since Rob's been at work he's been sleeping anywhere from 5-8 hours straight!  He's starting to stay up a little more during the day too.  My mom brought the bassinet to us so we could lay him down in the living room without the worry of one of the girls stepping on him.  This has helped out with him being up more because he likes to change up his scenery and positions :)
Robbie has been really busy with football and work.  It's playoff time for football so they are putting in extra time for practice.  He just went back to work and he also got into the Emergency Response Team for Winona County so he had to get his gear and get all the information for that.  He's really excited, though, and gets to go to a SWAT school in the cities in May!  (Gives him even more motivation to get/stay in shape because he will have to pass a fitness test)
I'm doing well.  I'm almost done with the cleanse phase of the 24 day challenge.  It hasn't been too bad.  I haven't felt hungry or sick during it so that's a good thing :)  I'm loving being home with the little man.Which of course makes me start to think about keeping my eyes open for jobs closer to home :)
Here are more pics from the week...

Fire Safety Fun

Wow!  Where did the week go?!?!  I can't believe our little man is going to be 2 weeks on Tuesday!  He's doing great.  He will sleep for 3-4 hour spurts at night.  Which is really nice for mom and dad :)  The girls have been great.  They are still going to Vicky's which I think is really good for them.  B loves being able to go and play with the other kids ... and get all sorts of attention from them.  :)

Kenna and B went to my moms for a long weekend.  They got to go to Winthrop for fire safety week and play with balloons, eat hot dogs, and go on a fire truck ride.  Kenna also got to meet a fireman at pre-school this week!  They also got to make cookies and play with cousins!  Kenna LOVES when she gets to see her cousins as you will see by the pictures :)

Rob and I got to get out on Saturday and go to a Gopher game.  Unfortunately they lost ... and it was raining throughout the game.  But it was still nice to get out and spend time with each other.  Our friends Melissa and Travis came with us to the game.  It was nice to spend time with friends, too!  (and be able to have my first beer at the Gopher game ;) )  Our other friend Lisa and her little boy watched Wade.  (THANK YOU AGAIN for watching our little man!)  Then Rob and I spent the night hanging with the little guy and we all slept in!

I have started a 24 day challenge thing that Advocare has.  Hoping that it will bring me back to pre-pregnancy weight!  I will let you know how it goes ;)

Here are some pics from the week!

Just chillin :)

Being silly!

She loves her brother so much!

B decided to take a little rest while playing :)  She's such a funny girl!

Our Junior Firefighter

B was sitting at the window watching the combine...She's ready to go help grandpa!

Wide eyes ... he never seems too impressed with me :)

Our friend Trav is always Mr. Prepared.  He brought a ziplock bag to put his phone in and was texting through the bag :)

So he was being a little crabby so I thought I may as well give him some tummy time and make him work his neck....see how this worked out :)

Cousinly love!

I'm thinking B picked up this little boys truck :)

Waiting in the fire truck for their ride!

Hoping everyone has a wonderful week!
